Ryan Hopper is from Tuba City, AZ born into the Tobacco Clan (My Mother), Towering House (My Father), Red Bottom (My Grandmother) and White (My Grandfather). Currently lives and works in Salem, OR. Being Navajo he come from balancing two worlds: growing up on the Navajo Reservation and now living in the city urbanized world. His artwork is centralized on nature, land and animals with a decorative element. He has a deep appreciation for celebrating animals and the land. His inspirations comes from the places that he has traveled, coming from a family of shepherds and Navajo rug weavers. The future of his art is to share, inspire, and grow with Hopper Gallery.
